Movie Review- Polaroid (2019)

Today I will talk about Polaroid. It was released in Japan on July 19, 2019. This is an American horror movie. The film was directed by Lars Klevberg, who also directed the reboot version of Child's Play. And this movie was produced by Roy Lee, who was also involved in IT. Polaroid was released as a short film in 2015, but it was recreated by Lars Klevberg. Now I will talk about the outline of the movie.

The main character of this work is Bird Fitcher (Kathrin Prescott). She is a high school girl who loves cameras. She got an old Polaroid from her part-time job companion. As a result, incidents will be occurring one after another. Simply put, taking a picture of someone with the old Polaroid puts them at risk. Bird is not good at socializing, but her friend Casey (Samantha Logan) invites her to a party. So she uses Polaroid to take pictures there. At this point, Bird does not know that the Polaroid is cursed. The story develops steadily from this scene. I won't talk about who will die and what's happening in the photos. However, keep in mind that the photos and the people in them are linked.

Polaroid was the cleanest horror movie I've ever seen, because cruel scenes aren't often shown. Also, the ghosts don't look scary. I like this movie, but I think it had less horror elements. So I think that even those who are not good at horror can enjoy it.
