Movie Review- Midsommar (2019)

Today I will talk about Midsommar. This is a psychological horror movie released in 2019, directed by Ari Aster and starring Florence Pugh. This movie offers a horror experience that is different from regular horror movies. The stage of this work is Sweden. There are many beautiful scenes that you can't think of as a horror movie, so please pay attention to them as well.

First, I would like to introduce the characters. The main character is Danny Arder (Florence Pugh). Her lover, Christian Hughes (Jack Reynor), attends the same college as Danny. Six other friends will appear. Christian’s friend Pele invites him to the Midsommar Festival in her clan's hometown of Holga. Christian invites Danny and they go to Sweden with his six friends.
The eight people who arrived in the village of Holga were fascinated by the fantastic scenery of the grasslands surrounded by forests and the kind villagers in white clothes. But gradually strange things start to happen. I won't talk about details this time, but I'll just say that nothing is as scary as a religion-brainwashed person.

When I first watched Midsommar, I had the impression that the world view was beautiful. I didn't feel the urgency or fear of a horror movie, but this movie has something to attract. I think this movie that even people who are not good at horror can enjoy, so please watch it if you are interested.
